Skate Canada Insurance Fee

The $62.00 Skate Canada Safe Sport Insurance Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to other people. For classes that are split into Fall and Winter sessions, the fee is only required to be paid once per season.

Rowan's Law

Athletes under 26 and parents/guardians of athletes under 18 years of age must confirm that they have reviewed the Government of Ontario Concussion Awareness Resources below and Skate Ontario’s Concussion Code of Conduct for Athletes and Parents/Guardians prior to registration and/or on the first day of skating. COVID-19 Waiver

In order to have a Return to Skate be possible, special policies are required to enter and use the arena facilities. Please review these policies on our COVID-19 page. Also, a COVID-19 waiver is required to be completed. No skaters may participate until this waiver is completed. Fundraising-Volunteer Cheques/Cash

Fundraising-Volunteer cheques or cash are required for all registrations in Parent & Tot, Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate, Pre-STARSkate and STARSkate. Please make out a separate cheque in the amount of $150 and leave the date blank or provide cash. Cheques or cash will be returned or held over for the next season if a fundraising-volunteer commitment is made. If you are unable to fundraise or volunteer, the $150 will be kept in lieu of a commitment. We thank you kindly for your donation to the club. Parent Volunteers are the foundation of any successful community organization!

Volunteer sign up will be available the first week of programs as well as information on our fundraising.

Fundraising-Volunteer checks or cash must be submitted the first day of programs. Skaters will not be allowed on ice until this requirement is met.

The AdultSkate and Power Skating classes are exempt from a Fundraising-Volunteer commitment so no cheque or cash are required if you are in those programs.

Waiver

The Ripley-Huron Skating Club, it's Executive or Professionals shall not be held responsible for any injury or loss of personal property, however caused, wheather on or off the premises and shall be released from any and all claims, Guests or visitors use the club premisess and facilities at their own risk. RHSC reserves the right to use any photography/video taken at the club or Skate Canada events/programs, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photography/video. RHSC may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, including but not limited to: facebook, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, social media, ect. Any person desiring not to have their child's photo taken or distributed must let the club know in writing of his/her intensions.

Snow Days

Cancellations will be announced by 1 pm on the day of skating. Please follow us on social media to stay informed as emails will not always be possible.

Refunds

Refunds will not be given after 2 weeks from the start date of your program. All refunds will be less the coaching and ice time used to date and the $62.00 non-refundable, Skate Canada Safe Sport Insurance Fee.
